Dial Direct Caravan and Trailer Insurance
Caravans and trailers can be covered for loss or damage either separately or
in combination with other risks. Cover of the caravan or trailer also
includes loose items such as crockery and cutlery being transported by the
caravan or trailer.
A caravan is covered only if it is used for domestic or pleasure purposes.
The caravan is covered if it is stolen or damaged and will be paid out at a
reasonable market value. Should the caravan need towing or storage this will
also be covered provided that the Dial Direct Towline is called. Third party
cover is also applicable up to a limited amount should you be responsible for
the accident or damage to a third party. Cover does not apply if you are driving
without a valid licence or an endorsed licence, the vehicle is not roadworthy
or driving recklessly or while under the influence. Loose contents inside the
caravan must be mentioned separately and will be covered under loose contents
cover.
Loose contents cover covers loss or damage to all loose contents belonging to
you or your family members living with you that are kept inside the caravan.
These items must be mentioned in the schedule. Cover does not include items
insured elsewhere in your policy or items used for business or trade purposes.
Trailers can also be covered through Dial Direct provided that they are used
for recreational, social and pleasure purposes. The trailer will be covered for
reasonable market value for loss or damage incurred. Towing and storage are also
covered if the Dial Direct Towline is used. As for caravans third party cover is
given up to a certain limit. Cover does not apply to un-licenced vehicles or
un-roadworthy vehicles, driving recklessly or under the influence.
The above insurance provides comprehensive cover for all your caravan and
trailer needs, including items which may transported in these vehicles. It is
important to remember that an excess is payable on claims made in connection
with the above items.
